Currarong

Currarong on the South Coast of NSW offers outstanding beaches, bushwalks and fishing. Relax and unwind in this quiet Shoalhaven coastal village.

The little seaside town of Currarong has long been a favourite with visitors. The calm beaches and fascinating rockpools are popular with families and visitors looking for a nice and relaxing place for a dip in the ocean and a meander around the foreshore.

WHAT TO DO IN Currarong

There is a great walking track at Abraham’s Bosom which takes you through coastal heath to small coves and beaches and dramatic sandstone cliffs. A great spot to spot passing whales and playful seals.

As well as excellent swimming, bushwalking and fishing, you must try the seafood from the local takeaway Zac’s Place. Collect your order and take it over to the reserve overlooking the beach for a tasty and relaxed break for lunch. A short drive from Currarong will have you at Beecroft Peninsula which is home to the majestic Point Perpendicular Lighthouse, as well as beautiful Honeymoon Bay. Beecroft Peninsula is only open on weekends and school holidays as it is used for military training during the week. Accommodation is available close by at the Holiday Haven caravan park or in self-contained holiday rentals.
