WHAT TO DO IN Cunjurong
Several tracks lead down from the small village of Cunjurong to the beach with direct access to Green Island – a small island off shore which is accessible on foot at low tide and is great for snorkelling or just relaxing in the shallow inlets the island creates by the beach. Green Island is a classic surfing spot. Its popular surfer’s waves can give 40-50 metre rides with the occasional barrel. Where the beach meets the island on the point is also a popular spot for kite surfing. Cunjurong Point also offers good access to Lake Conjola’s entrance which is a popular swimming spot for families, and also has a small general store for the basics, as well as takeaway food. Accommodation is available in cabins or private rental properties.
