Burrill Lake

The scenically beautiful township of Burrill Lake is located five kilometres south of Ulladulla, and situated between the beach and the lake. Surrounded by natural bushland, its unspoilt beauty provides excellent fishing spots and safe boating, sailing and windsurfing. Boats, canoes, skis and kayaks are available for hire.

Most of its shores retain their natural bushland and forest cover and views west across the lake to Pigeon House Mountain create a beautiful natural setting.

The Princes Highway crosses the eastern arm of the lake only metres from the sea but its main expanse reaches inland almost to the town of Milton and cannot be seen from the highway.

To see the upper parts of the lake you can visit Kings Point via its access road, west off the highway, north of the Burrill Lake township. At Kings Point, the lake is deep, quiet and tranquil. The local water ski club have their clubhouse, picnic area and launching ramp at Kings Point and there is water skiing here at weekends and during holiday periods.

A variety of holiday accommodation is available from caravan parks to self contained holiday cottages, and holiday homes. Attractions include the Hot Glass Gallery on the Princes Highway which boasts some beautiful glass works, and the old open air cinema – one of the last in Australia. Although this charming old theatre in now closed (and likely to disappear soon), you can still see a rare example of 50s Australia if you are quick.
